On 5th December 2025, Andrew Ikingura, a doctoral researcher from the University of Life Sciences in Lublin took part in the XIII International Conference Environmental Protection & Energy (EPAE 2025) at the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice, Poland. The event gathered around 200 participants from different countries, including students, early‑career researchers, and senior experts working across environmental protection, ecology, energy fields.

During the conference, Andrew Ikingura delivered the presentation titled “Ecological Impact of Rain Gardens in Lublin: A GIS‑Based Assessment of Urban Vegetation Dynamics,” which explored how rain gardens established within the Lublin NatureScape T‑Lab differ in their ecological performance depending on their spatial setting and surrounding urban structure. EPAE 2025 conference  provided a valuable platform for sharing these insights and strengthening collaboration within the environmental science community.
